The 30th Anniversary of Mini’s Monte Carlo Rally win was celebrated with the launch of the Mini Cooper Monte Carlo SE. Boasting ‘Rally’ decals, special duo-tone interior and red leather steering wheel, it sold out within weeks. The Mini Sidewalk sported bold checks making the Mini stand out even more in 1995. Black leather was a Cooper option for the first time. The Cooper celebrated its 35th birthday in 1996 with a fantastic anniversary edition the Cooper 35 SE, incorporating an original 1960's colour scheme. 1998 saw the Mini Cooper Sport LE make its presence felt alongside the Paul Smith LE which was unveiled in the UK. Mini kicks off its 40th birthday with the launch of the Mini 40 LE.
